The CV Clinic was contacted recently by our friends at Zopa as they had been approached by a film production company who are making a film about community and social networking over the Internet. Banyak films are producing a documentary that will be shown to politicians first, and then, hopefully, to the main stream television around September. Of course we will let you know when it goes live and will put some clips on the Website.
The documentary is really interesting as it covers all the relevant topics we are thinking about more and more today.The film will be called "US Now" and takes you inside people's homes, minds and projects of the pioneering users and creators of the "New Web Based Networks". It's all about collaboration on a huge scale and how this is made possible by the Internet. It is starting to address some of the biggest challenges our government are trying to face.I guess what they are saying is that these changes can't be made without our support .They need a new relationship with us and in my book it's all about trust and collaboration!
"Us Now" tells the story of people who are solving their own problems publicly or together. It asks people why? and what motivates them to be involved or to solve others problems. The film in a nutshell is a breath of fresh air as suddenly your voice is going to be heard by somebody in the government and although you can't be sure if they will listen it will demonstrate how advanced our society is.
Well done Banyak films ! Not only is it a great idea but they were great guys too even though they had to eat all my jammy dodgers because we are on a sugar free diet but I don't hold it against them.
