Friday is my favorite days of the week and usually the busiest by far ! I think everybody must decide to feedback from any interviews that week or for some reason that is the best time for them to talk to me. Either way it always seems to end on a good note and I enter the weekend on a positive. So I decided that I would update my blog on Friday and spent a good two hours putting fingers to keyboard. After I had finished it I did the usual spell check and read it a few times to make sure it made sense ( not always convinced) and was just about to hit the publish button but decided to hit the arrow back button at the top of the page !! Bingo you guessed it !! the whole page disappeared. I tried all the usual things to retrieve the document and even sent a help ticket to typepad hoping they could help me in my hour of need...but no, nothing, not a sausage. I am not sure what I was more upset about, was it that one of my colleagues was doing a charity walk this weekend for cancer research and I wanted to help him get sponsors and exposure ? Or was it because I was really proud of the article I had typed and thought you would all have a giggle. Probably both !! So if you see a spelling error or the grammar is not to the usual standard, then I apologise but still in fear of owing the swear box another £17 and at 50p ago it's costing me a fortune....hitting save constantly now and using a dictionary.
I have added another book to the list on the side and suggest that if any of you leaders out there want to make a "real difference" to the way you lead people, then please go and buy the book. I am also very keen to recommend any books that you feel are worth passing on. Drop me an email as the subscription button is having a mind of it's own at the moment and I am not even going to attempt to fix it this week.
My referral scheme has taken off and two cases of wine on order this week already so please keep passing your colleagues and clients to me and I will fill up the wine rack for you. Remember that you don't have to have wine as I have a self development hamper on offer too !
Hope you all have an excellent week and I hope that David Nichols is recovering quickly from his " 40 mile walk" for Breakthrough cancer. This will be a tough challenge for David as he only walks" to and from his car " but I know he will have made it to the end.If you want to see what the walk was all about then please click on this link www.breakthroughweekend.org/site/TR?pg=personal&fr_id=1000&px=1137039
